This thread illustrates once again how unenlightened Bowie fans are.
Pianocraft quotes a famous Biblical passage from the Beatitudes, “Blessed are the poor…” and he is instantly overturned and insulted by a horde of heathens.
What is most alarming in this instance is that this passage is not even a “challenging” idea that is specialized to Christianity. The notion that greed and materialism fail to be rewarding is common throughout much of western literature. Those who have mocked pianocraft have not just rejected Christianity but common human decency.
The only foreseeable result will be that everyone here will live a hollow and spiritless existence, where their partiality to blandness and retardedness is already making itself known through diamondogz74 and BreakingGlass’s posts.

you are obviously a joke yourself. you quote the biblical reference piano craft does :
In reply to:
When Christ said, "Blessed are the poor, blessed are the meek," he wasn't referring to the rich and proud who trust their own wiles in this world. [/unquote]
Yet pianocraft's plaintive cry is more against the way some ppl have all the luck - money is not mentioned - in the world :
There is something about Bowie that is really a turn off. Everything goes his way, he gets everything he wants. Every girl wants to fuck him, every musician wants to work with him, everyone comments about how elegant he is.
Consider the animals in the jungle. They are all god's creatures, yet some have more of the 'charisma' explained above in human terms, than others.
Again, if we return to pianocraft's original whinge :
In reply to:
It must be really something to be that lucky, to be born with that kind of charisma. To walk through a world where every door immediately opens. And to grow to expect that.
Buddha was born into such charisma. He walked out the door. I don't think Mr Bowie (nee Jones) was. He grew up when r/n/r - the devil's music it has been called i think - was the most motivating factor - to many such as him. He obviously had the energy to search for imports of the real stuff from over the seas.
This bit of piano craft i don't get :
There are many David Bowies in this world. It's easy to see how the cross of Christ would be anathema to them. [/unquote]
the shortest explanation in dictionary.com of 'anathema' is "One that is cursed or damned." Is pianocraft writing in tongues? What on earth is he saying there?
You who espouse the words of this Christ guy never met him : you weren't there when he spoke. His words were never tape-recorded or video-ed, but passed down through generations. How you dare to preach your versions of his message beats me.
You are a sick furk, if your webpage and description are your true beliefs. Go wash your mouth out honey.

Well, I'm a girl...so he's a turn on. You're horribly wrong. He's a turn on in every aspect. You can't deny it.

Anyone can deny anything. It's called opinion. And while some opinions may be discredited by contradicting facts, you are mistaking your subjective opinion as thus, which makes you lose. I know quite a few females who honestly are not turned on by Bowie. Anyone, male or female, who is into the macho hairy manly look is probably going to have an opposing opinion to yours.
GDE get dukewhite to Europe Twelve just wasn't enough!

Since when has everyone (except maybe SLC and pablopicasso) forgotten who pianocraft is and what he/she posts?
Anyway, pc, you bring up interesting points but sadly they are easily overturned. Mostly, bowie's life has not at all been the easy ascent you credit him with, but rather full of uncertaintities, many failures, and precarious leaps--some of which resulted in success. But also, y'know, lots of difficulties, setbacks, addictions, unhappy marriages and troubled relationships with friends and family... etc.
Admittedly, having achieved his current peak of financial comfort and respected recognition, he isn't giving his wealth away as prescribed by either Christ or Buddha (two deities he once claimed to admire), but who knows what his current beliefs are, anyway?
I mean, I happen to think he is a djinn.
Oh, and those of you getting your panties in a knot over Fred Phelps, do yourself a favor and look his name up on google.
Maybe if I write this now, while drunk, you'll all understand.

Or better yet, look up godhatesfags.com. Then get a real taste of skewed perception.

The thing I hate about you modern Christians is that you are all so wet. Five hundred years ago you would have hunted Bowie down and stoned him to death. Nowadays all you do is whinge about how people like Bowie are detracting from the light of Christ.
