You Belong in Rock n Roll Extended Version
|
|
|
An Extended Version was released on 12" (London/Victory LONX 305) and on a special second CD-single in tin can (London/Victory LOCDT 305). Later, this Extended Version also served as B-side of the 'Baby Universal' single (London/Victory LON 310). - Ruud
I have the first 2 minutes of this song and it sounds excellent (I love the rythym on this song in general).
Can anyone confirm the length of this track and moreover how many minutes of the opening is instrumental?

Thanks very much. This means I am only losing 4 seconds of instrumental.

Quite possibly the best thing that Tin Machine did. I had listened to it earlier today and the disc was still in the player.

I'd just call it the greatest thing Tin Machine ever did, full stop.

It just so happens I ordered the tin can singles of Baby Universal and You Belong In Rock And Roll the other week. I basically just bought them for the novel packaging, i thought they'd make nice little items to have. But low and behold I dared to listen to them and this track in particular was actually quite good!

I purchased via www.gemm.com which is an awsome music searching database. Its like Amazon's zshops, if you're familiar, but much, much bigger. The exact shops I used are unlikely to stock multiple copies so its not really worth me giving you those.
Before you search, make sure you change the currency and watch out where you're buying stuff from as it covers US and Europe too.
