I listen to YA on average about 12 times a week.
I don't know if I've listened to YA 12 times in my life all the way through. Maybe 30 years ago when it first came out.

but isnt the Fame flute mix a fake?
Real or not? the track is rather beautiful, I couldn't tell If was fake or not, If it is fake? then it's a perfect fake

Thankies. As I suspected, nothing I wouldn't already have (excepting the instrumental Golden Years).
Thats actually quite a stunner of a track Sys, Not in my life have I ever heard an instrumental that Bowie's voice can change so much, you might think it easy to sing along with your own voice doing the vocals? well I thought that and it's very very difficult, you would love it im sure.

Ah! well you see Tristan it is my fav Bowie album of all time and I take it from your post that you arn't that keen on Young Americans? yet I distinctly remember you saying that both "It's Gonna Be Me" and "John Im Only Dancing ( again )" sounded great on the Wealth and Authority boot
Own up please

To me it has always sounded like the flute was added afterwards, it sounds somewhat out-of-place. The backing track sounds like it's a different version of Fame, possibly a demo or an earlier mix. The question is, did Bowie have someone do the flute as an experiment, or did some Bowie fan get his hands on the Fame 'demo' and decided to add flute on it himself?

A very interesting thought Sys and one I would love to ask Mr Bowie himself along with is it bridge or fridge?
In all seriousness I would like to know, It's time Mr Bowie came on Bowienet and had a question and answer session.

Regarding the fridge/bridge debate I was listening to Ottowa 87 a couple of days ago, and it could clearly be heard as being fridge, there could be no doubt. I haven't listened to the YA album lately, maybe someone who listens to it regular could work it out

Perhaps Alan that's the BIG surprize on YA 30th
Ladies and gentleman Mr Bowie definately sings Fridge or maybe Bridge? I think it's going to remain yet another Bowie mystery and an irritating one at that

After double checking I'm having trouble finding a source on the Lennon/Bowie interview. I do have more material to sift through.

Happy sifting Peter you know I think this YA 30th will be the best so far, It's got a hard act to follow with the brilliant David Live and Stage re-issues.
