I prefer the live version of "Reality" if you got the "Reality Tour Edition" you can understand what I mean.

I admit that i haven't been a bowie fan fore long(since autumn 2002),but i can honestly say that there's few who's a bigger fan than i am and you, well, are clearly not a bigger fan then me!! If you honestly think that everything bowie has made after scary monsters (except outside) is crap, the i wouldn't count you as a bowie fan!! you might have been a member of tw longer then me,but i clearly appreciate bowie much more then you!!

What's wrong with b_mardle? new [re: b_mardle]

My post was in fun at the people on this board, hence a winky emoticon.

Your post was very pathetic ("i clearly appreciate bowie much more then you"). Yeah right! Thanks for the Saturday giggles. Where did all that anger come from?

Note to self, b_mardle has no sense of humour and will be treated accordingly.

Re: What's wrong with b_mardle? new [re: SoulLoveChild]

I find it very irritative to read comment's ,like''bowie has made nothing but crap since scary monsters''.I find it VERY untrue.
Let's dance was a great album(another underrated album amongst fans),tonight, nlmd & tin machine-project where all ok albums, not great, but certantly not bad(and thay all contained some great tracks).black tie, white noise is one fantastic album, only problem is that it could've cope'd without ''i know it's gonna hap...''or the title track. Unfortunatly i dont have buddha of suburbia,i've looked everywere for it(don't have interent access of my own).1.outside is bowies second best album of all time, only heathen is better. Earthling is fabulous,hours... is a moderate effort,a bit lazy album, but contains some of my favourite songs(like the dreamers).Heathen is,for my money,Bowies most best album!! It contains no bad songs, and all track's except i've been waiting for you and gemini are absolutely fantastic songs!!(and them 2 songs ain't bad either).AND YOU ALL KNOW WHAT I THINK ABOUT REALITY!

Re: What's wrong with reality?? new [re: b_mardle]

Reality is almost compariable to actual Reality

Its not always something we want to face but its there

It has it good points but we tend to look for the worst one's.

serioslyy though I think it has some problems in the fact that its fairly aimless. though musically its great. but a few tracks just wind me up. the Try Some Buy Some is one. It's boring and if sleigh bells were added to it you have yourself a xmas song.

The Title track sounds like an out-take from the Tin Machine era. Lonliest Guy would sound better as an instrumental.

However Reality shows hope with Full Dog Bombs the Moon. I love that track thogh lryically its isnt great musically its and the way he sings its great.infact I think it should have been a single. NKS starts off good but goes pear shaped.

still I dodnt think its that bad of an album. Even if it has a few flaws.

I now have horrific visions of this being Sir Cliffs umpteenth christmas number 1

Seriously though Brian when I first heard the song and read about it's history of being the last ever single on the famous Apple label I was interested, but the song is just too pretty and not Bowie's style at all.

super spanking new [re: diamondogz74]

i suppose your right, in some respect. But i alway thought that him doing different things and acting in different character was apart of his appeal. I guess we all find qualities though that makes us fans, and there are some parts of him that could be detestable to each individual. On that subject(which could be it's own thread), what detests me about him are not in lyrics, because i respect all forms of expression that way, but in his disrespect to some people(i.e. Gary Numan). He is a lot kinder in his old age, so maybe that was just a phase of his superstardom. His overconfidence, though can be unflattering.

I do apologize for my flippant remark and Im pleased you understood the reason for it

In reply to:

Oh it is I agree 100% but TSBS was a sweet\sickly cover version IMO, I love him doing different things so long as they are unique to his character, now the song "Waterloo Sunset" off the touring version of Reality would have made a brilliant single and a sorely missed opportunity.

In reply to:

It's impossible to like everyone! buy yes I did find that behaviour by him out of his nature.

In reply to:

I really cannot say I've noticed that in all the years I've been following him, I guess it could be his way of getting over nerves.
