Well seeing as it is a region 0 DVD, I see no reason why you cannot import it from europe, I think it should play on your american system?

The different colour-system in US televisions might cause a problem.

The Best Of is probably the most impressive collection of rock videos you are ever going to see anywhere and it represents Bowie at almost all stages his career.
After that, the choice is more difficult but probably the most recognised is Ziggy Stardust The Motion Picture.

Absolutely true. That collection is totally fascinating and a terrific reflection of his work, his changes over the decades and even his failures are fun to watch and hear there.
Still I voted for Ziggy MoPic - for fully sentimental reasons.
And I want to believe In the madness that calls 'now'

The shortage of material predating 1972 and from 1976 does let BoB down a bit. Still, it is extremely good. Plus the whole package aside from the videos themselves (the box, menu screens, even the black screens with the name of each video) is extremely well made, and stands head and shoulders above other video compilations I have (Bowie or otherwise).

Thats why I said should, yes I know they use less lines than europe and their colour system is the NTSC format?or more correctly the M format, I remember this being mentioned before and it became very complicated
I just thought region 0 would play anywhere! but then our system is pal, I hope oneday the system is all the same.

Well, and the 5.1 Track of course is missing. And there was plenty of room for extras - directors comments, listing of the studio musicians... something like that. I am afraid Bowie and the DVD missed each other by about half a decade. I hope he will catch up though.
Are you bad enough?

I've never been too much of a fan of extras. If there's interesting stuff to put in it's one thing, but a lot of extras are simpy crap. And again, compared with the other music video DVD's I have, BoB has just as many extras as they do (aka none at all. Well, Oldfield's Elements has an extremely poorly done interview from 1992 tacked onto it. But that's a prime example of poorly done extras).
