HEATHEN, witohut a doubt! Both lyrically and musically.

Teenage Wildlife is sad to me, I can understand why it wouldn't be to anyone else, but I feel he is so desperate for anonymity in that song, it's sad to me.
I forgot about Word On A Wing, that is very sad to.

It makes sense to me. The lyrics and wail at the end "...just another piece of teenage wildlife!" sounds like a guy who isn't at the pinnacle anymore and lost what he had. I do agree with b_mardle that 'Heathen' is indeed sad in the lyrics and it can get me choked up at times. I will throw in 'Strangers When We Meet'. With words like "..and it's a dying world!", that isn't a happy song is it?
