Skipping Low
1. Speed Of Life (2:45) 2. Breaking Glass (1:42) 3. What In The World (2:20) 4. Sound and Vision (3:00) 5. Always Crashing In The Same Car (3:26) 6. Be My Wife (2:55) 7. A New Career In A New Town (2:50) 8. Warszawa (6:17) 9. Art Decade (3:43) 10. Weeping Wall (3:25) 11. Subterraneans (5:37) There are only a few songs a skip but I think if you’re going to listen to low your going to have to listen to it from begging to end. It’s the only way you can appreciate the album fully. But even I must confess to skipping “Always Crashing In The Same Car” and maybe “what in the world”. I just don’t know where that song fits into the overall mode and style of the album
don't u wish you're post was hot like mine don't ya don't ya (from that crappy pop song)

I do not skip any of Low, as you said Jamie, the album is a contuinual listening flow, however in saying that! I did read once that the original title for this album was New Music, Night and Day, which tends to suggest side B as it was then, was meant for night time listening.

Those are couple of my favorites on the album! What in the World is probably my favorite!
Anyway, I don't usually skip albums, but with Low, I might sometimes stop listening after A New Career in a New Town. Warszawa just gets a little boring sometimes and Subterraneans I don't really like that much. Art Decade and Weeping Wall... Just easy to ignore.
But if you're gonna dine with them cannibals, sooner or later, darling, you're gonna get eaten

I don't mean to sound shallow, but Side 2 really doesn't mean much to me either. I'm not going to pretend to see any hidden meaning. It's not terrible, but after a Side 1 full of great, simple pop songs, we get four tracks of weirdass sounds that probably weren't ever written down or thought about. I've got an electric piano, I can make tunes as good as Low Side 2...

I never skip any tracks. Always Crashing In The Same Car is one of my favorite tracks, If not my favorite. I love side two of the album. I dont mind if it's just a bunch of wierd sounds, some one just created out of no where, they're heaven to my ears.

What In The World is my favorite song on the whole album too. I just don't understand why people tend to dislike that one so much. Maybe it's just because I identify with that particular song and the majority of others don't.

I like the instrumentals, but I find them a bit depressing. The only one I love is "Subterraneans"
I even made a compilation for myself that goes like this:
David Bowie: 1977-1980
1) Speed of life 2) Breaking glass 3) What in the world 4) Sound and vision 5) Always crashing in the same car 6) Be my wife 7) Beauty and the beast 8) Joe the lion 9) "Heroes" 10) Sons of the silent age 11) Blackout 12) Fantastic voyage 13) Yassassin 14) DJ 15) Look back in anger 16) Boys keep swinging 17) Repetition 18) It's no game (part 1) 19) Scary monsters (single version) 20) Ashes to ashes 21) Fashion 22) It's no game (part 2)
