For some odd reason I listened to Tin Machine today while making a dinner. In all honesty it was a hell of a lot better than I remembered. Certainly some of the songs sounds like something that your everyday pubrockers play to earn their living but few of the numbers, especially Under the God packed enough drive and aggression to make it all worthwhile.

That's the one for me on the album too. TM also delivered a fiery live version of it at their Berlin show. If the album only had more of that kind.

And I want to believe that a light's shining through somehow

Bowie and others... new [re: K]

I don't think I've listened to any Bowie albums since I last replied to this thread (Can, Gary Numan and John Foxx being my main men at the moment), but today I happened to drop by the Illusitrated Discography and ended up reading the article on the Outside outtake tape, which tempted me to give a spin to my own Outside outtake disc, after which the Outside and Earthling bonus discs both got a spin as well (after which I switched into Tubeway Army mode, as my gf isn't home I decided to make the best of it and listen to the albums that she doesn't like).

diamonddogz74, it's about time you've had Tin Machine!
Today, I listened to a long lost Bowie misx I made last year sometime. I enjoyed it thoroughly. I forgot what was on it, and was pleasantly surprised at my selction of songs.
It started with "I Keep Forgettin'" and had the likes of "Something In The Air", "Pablo Picasso", "Nature boy", "Ashes To Ashes", etc. It was a fun listen...
