There's also a mainmain site - though it's got nothing on it other than some album sleeves....including the Grease soundtrack - was that anything to do with mainman? ALso included are the bands sugarcoma and susy tomass - never 'eard of 'em.

I don't have much of an opinion on the man, but one thing he did was turn Bowie into this remote, mysterious kind of eccentric guy, this and Bowie's song writing/apperance worked a treat.

I think it's half a dozen of one etc...

Yeah, but at what price?
At the time he had was finished with bowie, david was left almost bankropped. He didn't care about bowie one bit, he only tried to make himself rich.
And he did.
Imagine: He receaved 50% of all that bowie made during 1970-1975, and all the expenses were tooked out of the bowies cut. And though bowie managed to get released from that contract in '75, he had to pay defries a 13%(or somewhere in that region)cut of everything bowie made until 1982. And that is one reason why bowie didn't released a new album until 1983 after scary monsters. He waited that his obligation to pay defries was finished.
And the changesonebowie album was released just to get bowies finances in a more healthy ground. That, station to station album & tour + tmwfte helped to do so.
