A while ago I bought these socks:


Any Bowie-nerd, such as myself, can of course see that while the text says Ziggy, the picture is obviously Aladdin Sane.

But this made me realize that the lightning on Aladdin's face actually looks a lot like the letter "Z", which again led me to think that perhaps this is on purpose! Since Aladdin Sane sort of rose from the ashes of Ziggy Stardust, perhaps the lightning symbolizes the letter "Z"? Could that be? Or is this something that's been completely obvious to everyone else all the time?

I would suggest although the characters are seperate entities, it is ok to put 'Ziggy' on a picture of Bowie '73.

I actually don't think I'd like them so much if they were more colourful!

And there is actually some colour... If you watch carefully there's some red in them, because I've been wearing them with shoes that have red leather lining...

Perhaps it's because the socks are the same colour as the background= grey, bear in mind I am colour blind
