God I hope he's not writing an autobiography... he's nowhere near as funny as he thinks he is and I'm sure such a book would be full of the cringe-worthy 'witticisms' that frequently make their way into TWers signatures.

On a serious note, he's probably painting.

Or then he just died a few years ago, and all the post-Reality publicity photos use a wax doll. Think about it - it would explain his lack of activity, his looks in the publicity photos, and just about everything else.

The lack of activity is doing him no favours - since the heart scare he's aged considerably in appearance suggesting that his internal organs have suffered the same - soon they will pack up completely.

It's a common known fact that people who're healthy and sound of mind in old age keep active in both mind & body & vice versa.

If Reality is to be his final offering and all he can muster is measly donations to unwarranted causes then I for one will find it very difficult to forgive him.

If Bowie yearns to fight causes, how about the Burmese monks & thousands of innocent civilians for starters, rather than six, black wind-up merchants in a small-minded American town?

Just that $10K is a drop in the bucket for a man like him. Plus the whole Jena situation is hazy. Besides, I said 'at worst'... you do have to admit though he's gotten a lot of publicity out of this. I don't really think he had all the facts before acting... the media seems to be making a mess out of this. Finally, I agree there are a plethora of causes more deserving of his 'starpower', money and voice. Why this one?
