Ben & Jerry's, the company that brought you John Lennon's 'Imagine Whirled Peace' ice-cream is back with a new Elton John flavour.

The flavour is called 'Goodbye Yellow Brickle Road' and it consists of peanut butter cookie dough and white chocolate chunks.



Here is the Lennon one (apparently chocolate fudge peace signs, Toffee cookie dough and swirls of caramel vanilla ice cream):

Maybe they'll offer Bowie milk shakes cold and long.

On a semi-related note: if there's ever a celebrity Iron Chef, I really think Bowie should be the host. Simply because I want him to open the show by snorting a line off of Chairman Kaga's ass and then biting into a red pepper.

He probably would but as I've noticed lately on the American version, the judges (like that stupid bitch of an editor for Food and Wine) wouldn't appreciate quality Japanese cooking or anything Asian for that matter. How in the Hell they become critics of quality food is beyond me.

My favorite Iron Chef moments are when Bobby Flay gets his ass handed to him every so often. He wins a lot and mostly from the flavor score but I've seen him lose before. It's a celebration of the human spirit to see a challenger achieve such greatness.

I also have a crush on the judge Akiko Katayama.



I'm sure she knows a good mushroom when she sees it.



As for Bowie being chairman? That would fit well into his retirement. He has that debonair quality that befits the chairman bill and I think Iron Chef is a well done enough show for Bowie's celebrity caliber.

I think it would a lot better if the judges didn't have any idea of whose food they were eating and even didn't know who was competing. That would certainly eliminate most bias unless a judge knew a cook's style very well.

Iron Chef? I expect it'll be over here on the UK Food Channel or some such pretty soon.

Did you get to see Ramsey in the States version of Kitchen Nightmares, Kate?

I believe this was a highlight.
