Trent must learn those lyrics a bit better methinks I dont like it Bowie is / was way better in presenting this song

Are you sure that's not Susan Boyle?

I don't think it's that bad. The original is somewhat an industrial song and no one does industrial better than Trent. It's a pretty close rendition to the original, too.
Also, funny wrong lyrics..."Johnny wants to hum ona hok".

I just mean he looks so fat. What an ugly fatass. Clearly Trent is not afraid of calories.

That wasn't as bad as I thought actually, and lets face it its the closest were going to get to hearing Bowie on stage in 2009.

Numan's guest-programming Rage tonight. He's got three NIN songs in there (and one Bowie track, "The Hearts Filthy Lesson").

This may be a stupid question, but how is this a cover if Bowie collaborated with Trent on the song (was it not a collab)? I know it's a db song, but still...

Back in 90's Trent only did a remix of the song, there are no songwriting credits to Trent on the Earthling album.

mind you guys, it's the NIN remix version that's responsible for the song's success, as it remains the more well known version of the two. it's very much in the vein of their sound, to boot.
though it's still a cover, there's a grey area involved.
