Time for DB's first DOUBLE or TRIPLE studio album new [re: ]

By definition, a double album is an audio album that spans two units of the primary medium in which it is sold.

Dylan, the Beatles, Springsteen, Floyd, Prince, the Stones, the Smashing Pumpkins and numerous others have all released studio double albums - many are musical landmarks.

David Bowie has never done this.

In the 1970s and even up until the 2000s, it was perhaps unnecessary - a new Bowie product was never far away.

Now after a long hiatus, a multiple album set would give fans something to really get their teeth into. The timing would appear to be right.

given that he was boasting - what was that - a hundred? - outtakes for hours, i really don't think i'd like to see him release a double album. i think all we can expect now is a collaboration with lil' wayne or soulja boy or something.

Given that how about an 8x CD album with the Outside out-takes fully mastered and mixed. That would be very nice indeed.

I disagree and I still want SOMEONE to dig out the Brussels '96 show and put it to DVD!

No idea. Are you sure you posted on this thread?

Well, 100% Brit (and apparently proud of it) is being a bit over the top when he says 8 hours [of Outside outtakes]. I'd love to know the truth concerning what 100% git really has ~ Reeves Gabrels, 2003

Maybe you never posted it here on TW. It may have been on BowieWonderWorld, Facebook, Twitter, Twatter or whatever. It's so easy to forget where one places their posts nowadays.

Or a simpler answer is that ..... ~: K :~ is back !

FWIW, Outside was long enough that it would have been a double album on vinyl, I think. There's only a few minutes difference between it and The Wall.
