Can't fault their essential albums list, but I'm wondering where the hell that bit about Eno producing Earthling came from.

Yeah, it's a poor call but an interesting alternative to the usual 'Eno produced the Berlin trilogy' line.

We are so out of material that we start discussing whether factual mistakes about Bowie are "interesting"??

For the statistics: The Berliner Zeitung had a review recently of the new Eno record. And yes, he was again rewarded for alledgedly producing some interesting Bowie records a while back.

I actually sent the author (who normally is an exceptional force in the lame trade of pop music journalism in Germany) an email an he replied in shame. Case closed.
