Would have to be Outside, as much as Heathen really is up there and more consistent... the best moments of Outside are just otherwordly.

I do like all of these Albums, order of preference for me .....

1. Outside
2. Heathen
3. Hours
4. Reality
5. Earthling

Go on Bowie get the likes of Tony Visconti, Brian Eno, Moby etc.
to give you a hand and finish off the Outside Trilogy ... Contamination ... ~ db ~

When asked to rank these albums, I felt that I actually liked them all. My ranking:
1. Outside
2. Heathen
3. Reality
4. Earthling
5. Hours

(Bootlegs: Toy ranks among the worse of those, the Omikron soundtrack and the Outside outtakes among the better.)

It's SAILER, idiot!

I still like "Heathen" a lot. "Earthling" certainly sounds dated but still quite lively and special. The rest I could do without though I have to admit that I liked "Hours" when it came out. Dead now.

I like them all, but my rating is
1) Heathen
2) Reality
3) Outside
4) Earthling
5) Hours

But all of them are good, and in fact very different, so they are top albums in their own league.

And I agree with Bello that Hours is underrated, but must admit that I don't listen to it that much anymore.
