I was told that the album has been re-mixed and re-cut by Tony Visconti for a 30th Anniversary release in the Fall. Is this true? Has anyone else heard anything about this release?

I spoke with Tony about this and the rerelease of Stage recently and he said they're in the can and just awaiting an official release from the label. He's currently working on the 5.1 audio of the A Reality Tour DVD as well as the accompanying live 2-disc set.

If Bowie is willing to remix/remodel I wonder what will happen to the cover of the album. Will they airbrush fat onto the picture?

LOL! air brush fat! very funny. What exactly does re-cut mean? Does it mean they are going to change the order of the tracks? I hope not, I hate when this is done, it loses all consistency. I do Hope they put a cooler cover on there though.

I suppose the one that would really gain from it is Stage, especially if it is remixed from scratch to sound more like a concert recording.
