Three posters in this thread so far have mentioned Drive In Saturday being played in Philadelphia. Where's the evidence? As it was already missing from the July 1 and July 2 setlists, I'd be more inclined to believe that HT,GT was played live in Philly.

The Illustrated record by Roy Carr and Charles Shaar Murray mentions it alongside TIme, Space Oddity and Panic in Detroit.
If at first you don't succeed, it probably wasn't worth doing in the first place

Fair enough, but I wouldn't take it as the gospel truth. Audios from shows on July 1,2, 12 (Philly), 14, 16 and 20 exist and none have Drive In Saturday. Except for New Haven on the 14th, they all have Time, Space Oddity and Panic in Detroit. I'd say that it's safe to assume that the latter three were played each night in Philly, but it's also clear that Drive In Saturday had been dropped by then, at least psychologically. If it were actually played, it seems that it would only have been so that they would have more songs to chose from for the 2LP set.

I think he actually says "Some Philly Ones"
being in Philadelphia, it would make a lot of sense to play two "Philly Sound" covers.
Besides, both songs are NOT "Silly"......

of COURSE they keep the original names! :) It would be ridiculous to change them.
The "other" covers for the two albums you refer to, actually do not refer to the same albums, but to two truncated versions of those albums, hence the new covers.

I wonder what the writer credit will be for HT/GT.

Which is a good question considering (at least presumably) noone's actually taken any legal action about the original miscrediting. Has there been any sort of acknowledgement from the Bowie camp about its true authorship?

You know, I do believe you are right!!
Having listened to Knock On Wood for many years, I often wondered why he called it a silly song!

Speaking of omissions... no The Jean Genie or Rebel Rebel for Stage? Not that I'd miss them, but omitting them is surprising.
