I must say that I would hate Bowie to release an album of all slow songs. All the people who have said this ought to go here. I prefer a bit of diversity, as I thought did all Bowie fans. Of course those who prefer things like songs about washing machines would prefer music to sleep by. Also let's have no more talk of Bjork please, I would much prefer him to collaborate with people we haven't heard of before, and especially people fifteen years past their prime.

the coolest things Bowie's done in the past five years or so, are the slower, more ballad type songs
You cannot say that and then not mention Bring me the Disco King.
Aren't sequels brilliant? They're the same film, wi' same title, but a different number like 2 or 3.

I know she does, but it's all hypothetically speaking.....she's a musical explorer, not afraid to take a chance, which Bowie should do. A cd with just him on vocals and sax, gail on upright bass, and Garson on piano, Morphine like, would be interesting. Ditch the rock format bit and get back to textures.

You had two Tin Machine albums we want something slow for a change, tis only fair.
Beautiful slow melodic album, with lots of piano, gorgeous string arrangements, together with Bowie's voice = BLISS

Perfect.
And seriously, I agree on hoping for Bowie to pick some fresh people. Like David Torn on Heathen or Ricky Gardiner in the old days - folks we indeed don't know yet.
And I want to believe that a light's shining through somehow

It can be where he gets his best ideas, I think. If there is a problem with Reality, it is that he is too accustomed with the people he is working with.
