Ta, the email is on the way.
Thinking about this further, it would have been great to have a Finn Bros track on this CD (preferably 'Edible Flowers' or 'Disembodied Voices' that show Tony at his best). I know Visconti is a fan of the work he did with them and I know Neil Finn doesn't mind the recordings being traded around.

I've read elsewhere that the version of "Heroes" on this CD is the French one and that this release is therefore this version's digital debut.

Hi Adam,
I would have chosen some different tracks but I had final approval of these. They had to tie in with the Radio 2 series on record producers. At some point in the future I'll compile a 'best of...' mainly made up of the obscure gems.
Of course the 1970 version of The Prettiest Star is included -- I had nothing to do with the later version (which Mr. Bowie informed me they had to rerecord because they couldn't find the master tape and remix the original in stereo).
Cheers,
Tony

Are you sure Mr. Visconti would appreciate you bandying about his email address like that?
I bet people can't wait to read my memoirs

Dear Mr. Moqito,
No, I have never heard of "Tubgirl" and don't think I want to.
To answer your second question: no, I no longer have what you call a "Disco Stu Fro." Please do not email me again.
- Tony
this might be a fabrication on my part
Stu has a crush on me.

I have Visconti's U2 work. Probably on both cd and vinyl. I was just mocking that fact that U2 is often heavily touted in his bio when he only did one or two live recordings for the group.
The only thing I would want to know, that would warrent emailing Tony, is about the 24 songs he was quoted as being fully recorded for Lodger. Do you remember anything about them? Was one of them "I Prey Ole"? Were any of them recycled for Scary Monsters?
I know that he won't give a direct answer. Neither will Bowie.
