Bowie kicks in around 1:30 but unfortunately his vocals are pretty faint in the mix.
You can actually hear Bowie's voice come in the background around 1.08 before he fires up louder at 1.31.
Not sure if I like her singing style or not, will be interested to hear the whole album.
my face is finished, my body's gone and i can't help but think, standin' up here in all this applause and gazin' down at all the young and the beautiful with their questioning eyes, that i must above all things love myself

The shuffle and mood of the music somehow reminds me of Try Some, Buy Some ...... even slower and more ornate.
There's a nice little extended musical bridge that Bowie easily could've added a little pizzazz to.

6 songs in stream http://www.scarlettalbum.com/listening.lasso
all together the album could make sense arrangements are great most the time ...powerful and fresh but Johanssons voice still don't fit here for me...sorry
Bowie should have done it alone

Ok so she is beautiful and she can act, but she can not sing. David Bowie should have done backup vocals for Paris Hilton at least she can hold a better tune.

Most of the comments on YouTube are negative. Enough with the trashy songs by celebrities.
Apart from pocketing a few more $$$, I wonder what Tom Waits makes of this ?

I think her mistake was in her approach to the song. If you listen to her on this rendition of Summertime, it's obvious that she's not tone deaf. She actually has a really pleasant voice. Maybe she just hasn't come into her own quite yet.
I kinda dig the cover, actually. It is a little bit abrasive. Perhaps it's too low for her? And she seems to be talking loudly more than singing through most of it. But, hearing her voice on the first track I posted, I think she has room to grow. And El Bowza sounds a little whiny in parts, is it just me?
If I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

BNet should have titled that item JOHANSSON: "I WANTED TO DO IT WITH DAVID BOWIE."
Oh, do what you want.
