It is now the longest ever period between tours

Having endured more than double the longest ever wait between albums, Bowie fans have now equaled the longest ever wait between tours (53 months).

In 2008, Bowie's cameos have also been drying up.
His last musical cameo (backing vocals for Scarlett Johanssen's album) was recorded 18 months ago. And if it counts, 'remixing' duties on 'Time Will Crawl'.
Bowie's last stage performance was two songs with David Gilmour. This was two and a half years ago.

Adam, don't take this the wrong way or anything, but I sometimes get the horrible feeling that at any second, this site is going to turn into an account of your slow, steady descent into Bowie-deprived madness.
I'm not saying it won't be entertaining. But I am kinda worried.

Maybe Queen will hire him if Paul Rodgers breaks his leg.

I imagine that sometime around 2022 we'll get a chart illustrating that the time since (She Can) Do That has finally exceeded the time between Bowie's birth and Liza Jane.

I don't care too much for Bowie touring. Considering his age and possible health concerns, a long world-wide tour is probably too gruelling for him.
I would rather he put his creative energy into a new studio album every 2 years or so. Then promote the new album with a one-off concert, which could be televised, or screened throughout cinemas world wide.

Was Bowie planning to play South America in late 2004?
Of every continents he's ever played, he's never played them all in a single tour.
Ziggy(US/UK/Asia) 74(US only) 76(UK/US/Europe) 78(US/UK/Europe/Asia/Aus) 83(US/UK/Europe/Asia/Aus) 87(US/UK/Europe/Asia/Aus) 90(US/UK/Europe/Asia/SA) 95-7(US/UK/Europe/Asia/SA) 02-4(US/UK/Europe/Asia/Aus)
He seems to choose South America OR Australia(& NZ)
I'm also surprised Ziggy never played Canada or Europe.

If Lenny Cohen can do this at the age of 74, gosh darnit daddy can do it too.
