I found a vinyl of this I picked up for $5 a few months ago. I've heard that it's getting re-released on CD sometime soon.

I have the boot referred to in this thread but I have been on the lookout for the original vinyl for years and have never found it (haven't checked ebay or such places yet though). How did you get so lucky Deuce and for $5.00!?! Happy for ya though.

"Bootlegs never get RARE or worth money. Is that true????"
Not so true nowadays.
Vinyl bootlegs from 70's & 80's are getting rarer and demand for them pushes prices higher. At a record fair some of the well know ones were going for £30-£50 for a single LP. CD bootlegs go for £10-£15 per CD - although after a few years they'll gor for more (one double cd on ebay is going for £40 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1505696693 )
A lot of bootlegs now get transferred to CD from old vinyl copies - Ive got the infamous Thin White Duke concert - but in collecting terms a LOT of collectors love having the original vinyl edition.
Now should I go for this one??

I once briefly owned a copy. Bought it. Taped it. Sold it for a small profit. Sound quality isn't great and performance isn't exceptional, but a piece of record industry history...

In reply to:
got the soundtrack on cd with bonus tracks of beauty and the beast ( 12'' extended version),
When I got this bootleg a few years ago, I was expecting great things from The beauty and the beast extended version, that I had been trying to get hold of for nearly 20 years. I was disappointed to learn it just has a section of the song repeated to make it longer. No wonder that version never got a commercial release.

Ended up selling for 102 pounds ($144). I should have hung on to mine.
Noticed that a German round cover recently sold for $750...
