hi all I'm curious as to whether or not any of you whom deem yourselves collectors of one sort or another have in your possession a copy of of bowie's thursday's child single (pt 2) with the misprinted label. I've heard these are collectors items. Anyone know what they go for? Thanks for reading and/or replying! nick
I think it wasnt the label that was misprinted but it had the wrong tracks (those from cd1). I have a copy and I know a lot were around at the time. I have no idea of value though, but it won't be too much.
When this first happened people were saying they were extremely rare. Some collectors sites such as eil.com were listing them at £50 plus. However it soon became aware that there are absolutely loads around. In some places it was rarer to find a correct one. Sorry to disappoint you but they may have a curiosity value but that's about all. Doubt if any knowledgable collector would give you more than a few dollars for it.
Yep thats right. When it came out I listened to all the available copies in some record stores here (Amsterdam) and found only mispressed copies. I still dont have a correct one by the way, so if anyone has one for sale/trade please let me know!
