True Stories of Unreleased Gems! new

That's what I want to hear...
Who out here has heard or seen something TRULY rare?
I guess hearing the rest of Uniondale '76 was pretty special...and that 71 live concert....
So, Tell me! Stories!

I have the 1996 Bridge Concert on pro shot video. Never heard it mentioned elsewhere.

Carson 1980 on video in fairly good quality which rarely comes up on video.

2nd Gen Dallas 78 as aired on ABC TV in the states.

The Jeff Beck/ Ziggy video in absolutely wretched quality.

the aylesbury boot by now is very likely to be the most popular rather than very rare. but yes, hearing it for the first time was really exciting. hunting for rarities, i'd rather go for unreleased studio stuff. starting with the missing ziggy tracks or even earlier to toy (or saviour)

I would pay a ridiculous amount to hear the unreleased studio stuff from 1.outside. I would rob a studio to hear it. I would kidnap Bowie and force him to play it for me..... no, not that. I hope he eventually comes out with 2.contamination..... I am sadly obsessed with this album and the story involved

Has anybody heard the BLAH BLAH BLAH bootleg with the demos/rough mixes with Bowie vocally present? I've heard about this existing yet never heard about it for awhile.

Blah Blah Blah Demos new [re: bowiefanpeter]

I've heard "Fire Girl" and "Cry for Love" courtesy of the Shadowman web site. "Fire Girl" is mainly guitar and drums, no synthesisers other than one particular chord later in the song. Bowie is not all that present vocally on the songs - no more than he is on the Iggy produced albums. I think I hear him backing on the words "say you will" and "cry for love". "Cry For Love" has quite a different guitar sound - I wouldn't be surprised if Bowie is playing guitar on that, with Jones doing a solo over later in the song. They're nice, but I'd like them in better quality.

I came across a BBB iggy 12' single in a record store the other day(didn't purchase) On the back is Wild Child(live) which states DB as the producer on the live gig. Either it's an innocent typo or it's something Bowie did on his spare time that has yet to be heard, and he may have produced the entire iggy gig.

Rant! new [re: ArdentDesir]

I think a lot of the stories behind some of the surfaced stuff are at least as interesting as the stuff itself......
I'd really like to know some of those stories...
Where did Here Today Gone Tomorrow come from?
Is the source of the "Strange Fascination" bootleg originally an audio source, a leaked official recording by Mainman/RCA, or is it, as I think might be the Truth, originating from the BBC film that was made and used in the "Cracked Actor" documentary? And if so..if somebody had access to that, did they copy the film as well? How much of the concert was filmed anyway?

And about the Unreleased Studio recordings: I thought that when Bowie did his Bonds thing, and EMI had the rights to ALL of his stuff, including the unreleased bits, TONS of stuff were shipped to London, including Video Material.
I hear a lot of stuff was prepared for release.....and I think some of THAT stuff has leaked out, but not much.....
I know somebody who has some Trident stuff in Perfect quality......
And where did the HYPE video come from? Bowie himself probably, I think that's one of the things that came to EMI..
How about that '74 concert footage in the VH1 legends program? Heartstopping stuff for me....
I want MOOOOOORE. All of it, in fact.
What's the situation on the stuff in the MainMan vault?
And I think Bowie's a bastard for teasing us with things like "Blackhole Kids" ! Release It!

Ah well.....

The ziggy era Rock 'n Roll Suicide music video has just turned up on some over at BWW. It's good to know this has finally leaked down to casual collectors of DB.

It's on the list of markx2 (mark isolar) who has a TW email address and used to frequently post here.
