And another thing, Loving The Alien picture disc

In the same store (where I've seen Modern Love 12"), I've also seen a Loving The Alien picture disc. It is otherwise like the normal issue, except that there is no picture on side 2 of the disc, it's simply black. For one thing, is it a fake or real. For another thing, even if it is fake, are the remixes of Loving The Alien and Don't Look Down worth having? I've already got the normal version, ext. dance mix and dub mix of LTA and the normal version and ext. dance mix of DLD.

There seems to be a problem with the LTA picture discs. Several people have said that the one side has turned dark brown/black over time. Seems to be a fault.

I'm not going to tell, at least not before Friday when I can get enough money to buy Underground, Time Will Crawl and Never Let Me Down 12"ers (I presume you're a fellow Finlander to ask that).

I wouldn't ask if I weren't. Such a shame, and lucky to you, that I'll get money to buy Bowie at tuesday, not before. But always fanatic can buy stuff with lunch money, and be starving whole week.

Interesting.... there is absolutely nothing wrong with my LTA picture disc. It's a 12", imported from the UK. I've owned it since it's original release and it's been pretty well looked after. But then, all my vinyl is in pretty good nick - especially the picture discs (except that poorsoul owns most of them now! - the good ones anyways).

Its the 7" shaped Loving The Alien picture disc that is the problem. All the copies ive seen at record fairs (and my own copy too) have turned brown. Weird stuff, must be a production error.

I had some extras the night you picked up those - the blue Australia shaped 87 press conference form the Tivoli in Sydney, LTA 12" (round, not shaped)... the rest are 80's interview discs and also the 7" China Girl. PM me if you want anything else  .
