During the 60s Bowie worked for a music publisher, writing songs. He was approached to provide some new English lyrics to a French song called Comme d'Habitude. Bowie's version was called Even a Foll Learns To Love. The music publishers obviuosly did't like Bowie's version because they used a version written by Paul Anka called My Way.
