Bowie BBC sampler for sale
|
|
|
Hi. I'm not sure if this should be in the collectors bit, but I'm selling my nice and rare 9 track '96 NMC BBC sampler disc. Bearing in mind these go for £250 (though I don't expect that much... £170?), Any offers to my private in box.
Cheers.

Well, actually these don't really go for £250, thats just what some shops ask for them. If you check Ebay they usually go for around £15.
One shop started selling it for that much and other shops followed. It can't be worth that much if you take into account it was in shops all over Europe for a couple of months. I bought my copy when it was in stores and have seen a lot of them since.
If you don't believe me, try selling it to a shop like eil.com for - say - £100.
Well good luck selling it anyway, but I'm afraid it won't make you very rich.

Just sold one for £170, thanks.
It is just down to how much someone wants to give, isn't it? It could be £1, it could be £1000. That's the very nature of the collecting game.

I wish I had that kind of money floating around that I could spend it on a nine-track disc. I will never understand the economic unfairness of this world.
This is Dukewhite's Signature Side 2, hence it contains no words

Nice that you sold it for that much. If I were to spend that much on a cd I would check out if I couldn't find it any cheaper though.

My most exspensive record was 75 gld, it was for the Earthling Record. I have not seen it since and still very happy with it.

You want to see expensive??? Go to (www.amazon.co.uk) Look for Bowie: The Singles 1969-1993 Rykodisc. The seller is asking £1.975.00 for it. I think its a joke,NOBODY in their right mind would part with such an amount of money for a double CD of greatest hits. If this is the case? and it costs this amount of money for real? What makes it so special?

Obviously that seller is out of their mind - and anyone willing to pay that much would be even moreso. I believe that the Ryko release of that compilation is rather hard to find but it wouldn't be worth more than $50.
