DVDr Trade wanted in xchange for Reality DualDisc

Hi, gang. I've picked up a couple extra copies of the Reality DualDisc (CD on one side, DVD on the other) that is currently only being test-marketed in Boston and Seattle. The DVD side contains all new video content, consisting of the entire "short film" entitled Reality from which the Reality EPK was spliced together. Entire new videos for four songs: Never Get Old, New Killer Star, Bring Me The Disco King, and The Loneliest Guy, plus cool footage of the "real" Bowie being interviewed by his own disembodied, blue-light lit head on a video screen. Very cool little film. Plus the DVD side has all the Reality lyrics, a photo gallery, and all of the Reality album in DVD audio 5.1 stereo surroundsound. This is an awesom little collectible that is only available in two cities so far--or for exorbitant amounts on eBay thanks to unscrupulous non-fans!

I'm looking to provide some poor soul with a DualDisc (s)he can't get at home if that poor soul is willing to help THIS poor soul expand her Bowie DVD / DVDr collection.

Here's what I want--and on DVD only, please:

Various items of TV footage fro the 70s, 80s and beyond--especially:
Long Hair Interview (Tonight, BBC TV 1964?)
Luv Ice Cream commercial (1964)
Soul Train (1975)--I've got this in crap quality, looking for upgraded copy
Cher Show (1975)--ditto--looking for better quality
Dinah! (1976)--ditto--looking for better quality
Saturday Night LIve (1979)--again, need better quality
Crystal Jun Rock Japanese Saki Commercial (1979)
Any clips from The Elephant Man (1980)
Let's Dance & Tonight with Tina Turner (1985)
Live Aid appearance (1985)
Tin Machine stuff of any kind (1989-90)
Saturday Night Live (Tin Machine) (1991)
Arsenio Hall (Tin Machine) (1991)
Arsenio Hall (solo) (1993)
Tonight Show (1993)
Outside era TV appearances (1995)--including Tonight Show & The Late Show with David Letterman
Brit Awards (1996)
MTV's Live at the 10 Spot (Port Chester, NY, 1997)
Howard Stern Show (1998)
Saturday Night Live (1998)
The Tonight Show (1998)
Rosie O'Donnel Show (1998)
Conan O'Brien (1998)
Saturday Night Live (1999)
Late Night with David Letterman (1999)
Conan O'Brien (1999)
Rosie O'Donnell Show (1999)
Concert for NYC (2001)

Anyone got any of these and want the fabulous new DualDisc? Respond here, or PM me. Or, email me at zigbot@davidbowie.com

Do you think that DualDisc will ever become valuable? I have a chance to buy them (I live near Seattle) but I don't know if they will ever have any value.

I have 5 sealed copies of the canadain only "waiting for you" cd single. No one seemed to want those.

I've also have a couple canadian only Reality Cd with the Cinema DVD in R1(5 tracks on the dvd) This is the only way for americans to ever see this gig. I've seen no secondary market for this item either.

I can only suggest "taking orders" before plunking down for several copies of the album.

Depends on whether the dual disc takes off!
Having one of the very first Betamax video cassettes would be of little value now! ;o)

Personally I think they will be highly collectable in future years because they will not only be sought afterr by bowie collectors but also general collectors of that sort of stuff.

The Waiting For You situation doesn't surprise me as it's a widely available track - you aren't gonna pay more unless it has extra content. Hence the high prices for things like the Bang Bang Live canadian promo.

The dual disc does contain rare footage so will be highly collectable.

UNLESS - they now decide it's a huge success and give it a much wider worldwide mail order release in which case re-sale values will plummet.
However they are only about 12 bucks so I would say a good investment personally.

I think that I'm going to try to sell a few DualDiscs on ebay. I recently saw one go for $37.08, and they only cost $16.99 for me to get them. Hopefully I'll be able to make that much on mine too!

Hi, droolsoverbowie, I'm not interested in any trades right now, as I'm wasted from all the sending and receiving of packages that accompanied my trades for the DualDisc. Also, I do not have the ability to copy/burn CDs or DVDs, so I'm limited in my trading. Having the Dualdisc available locally to me FINALLY gave me something to trade with. I didn't make a single cent on those trades, and frown upon the eBay sales of this item when there are many Bowie fans out there who don't have a copy yet. I think one gets negative karma points for making a profit over selling or trading to another fan at cost. But that's just my view . . . as well as . . . erm, . . . the "right thing to do." Sorry I've got nothing to trade with now. Take care.

ok um, just to ask, if it's not too too late, The dual disc, is the second disc just the performances of New Killer Star/Never Get Old/Bring Me The Disco King/Reality and Days or is it the dual disc with a lot more extras?

That covers about everything on it.

Actually, I've recently began looking into Bowie's singles, and all of the ones from Heathen are looking pretty good. If you still have them, would it be possible for me to get one?
