reality remixes?
|
|
|
Are there any official (or unofficial) remixes of any Reality tracks? It seems from the b-sides he's been releasing and the content of the bonus disc that there aren't any. By this time after Heathen came out, most of the remixes and alternate versions had surfaced.
Really, all I want is a dance remix of Try Some, Buy Some.

This has been discussed before, and then the judgement was that the only Reality remix known to exist at this point is the Lohner Mix of Bring Me The Disco King.

Is the "queen of the tarts" played at the live gigs the version we have on disc?
Is that concert Harmonica Intro considered a remix or alternate version?
What happened to the matrix remix that was a news story over 6 months ago?

The version of Queen Of All The Tarts sounds like a standard version to me from the boots I've heard.
The harmonica version is a new version of "Heroes" (or at least so Bowie claims), so it would not count as a remix. Of course, the two songs have been medleyed for introes of different gigs (in Helsinki they played on the harmonica "Heroes" without Queen).

Thanks for that information,Yes i suppose "Technically" it is,Its such a shame the equipment needed to hear 5.1 SACD is so expensive
Do you consider it a fad?,Or will this become the norm,Thing is the new audio equipment has to take into effect our current CD collections.
Im ok with DVD-Audio,That just plays in a regular DVD player and is capable of the 5.1 mix. I just hate the idea of techonolgy ripping us off with fads.

SACD players can be had for $500 US. Just buy a home theater upgrade and it's much more affordable than you think.
Given how much some people here are spending on concert tickets, I wonder why they cannot afford them.
I personally see SACD having a much greater chance at success than DVD-A. Better sound, sacds are hybrids possible, and sacd have the dylan and stones catalogues.

I think the key to selling any digital medium now is making it computer compatible. Not that there's much of a benefit to listening to a SACD on stereo pc speakers, but a lot of people would be suckers and buy them if they could play them on their computers. DVD sales skyrocketed once people found they could watch them on their laptops and home computers without having to get "another piece of a home entertainment center" (people already have computers, is what I mean.)
