Starting Over

On a recent cross-country bus trip to see Bowie in Moline and Columbus, I lost my CD case containing all of my Bowie studio albums, including the rare Buddha of Suburbia and Tin Machine II. I still have "Heroes" because it was in my player at the time, and Reality which I had two copies of to begin with. Luckily I have them all imported as mp3's in iTunes so I can make replacements, but no mp3 sourced disc will ever sound as good as the original, so I now have to start all over and rebuy everything from Deram Anthology through Heathen. So my question is, does anyone have an extra copy of any of them lying about that they wouldn't mind parting with for a cheap price? I dread the amount I'll have to spend to replace my collection, and anywhere I can cut that by getting something used or on sale will help.

I'll be seeing YOU in New York, Detroit, Philadelphia, Boston, Kansas City, St. Louis, Washington DC, Moline, Columbus, Wantagh, and Holmdel. So dress sharp.

I may have a couple extra things kicking around. Do you have anything to trade, like bootlegs, rather than $?

The only duplication I have is Reality (four editions) and ryko+1999 editions, I do have a 1998 copy of NLMD though? I bought it by accident, thinking it was the virgin edition, sorry I couldn't help, (I would be distraught if that happenened to me, I have just bought a 25cdr spindle to copy all the albums for my car so I don't have to take the originals out with me anymore. By the way, I got all the reissues on ebay at really great prices.

Believe everything I say, especially the lies.

Try www.netsounds.com
It is a network of various small retailers with some great prices.
Also amazon z shops is a good place to pick up some cheap repacements.

This would actually be preferable to me. I am out of town now, but when I get back next week I'll compile a list of all my audio and video boots.

I just got a call from the girl whose house I was at...

She found my CD case with all the discs inside and will put it in the mail to me on Tuesday. I am more relieved than I have ever been in my life (except maybe in matters concerning my health and the health of family members).

Anyway, thanks to everyone whose prayers and possitive thoughts made this possible. Next time I lose something, I know where I'll go to get moral support.

I'll be seeing YOU in New York, Detroit, Philadelphia, Boston, Kansas City, St. Louis, Washington DC, Moline, Columbus, Uncasville, Wantagh, and Holmdel. So dress sharp.
