Freddi Burreti who did some Ziggy clothes later on.

Thanks I didn't know that, I naturally presumed it was meant to be a disguised Bowie.

In reply to:

That is a fantastic item! Wonder if it's real...?

Well the seller is brand new and has no feedback as yet! I would guess this is the real item and going by the asking price this seller has inside info on it's worth.

Yep this single is real - it's the Dutch picture sleeve for this track, and a very nice one it is too.

Well it's very hard to fake a 7" single, and it looks real enough in the pictures - it's the right label as well.

That is utter rubbish.

Even Matrix numbers can be forged.

Re: Arnold Corns [re: russellmael]

Indeed, I've seen very official-looking 7" singles on sale that cannot have been really official, as they've contained tracks that haven't been released on single.

Unless there's some very very rare RCA release of 'Round And 'Round / Amsterdam that I don't know of.

Re: Arnold Corns [re: Sysiyo]

either way, that's a great coupling!

Actually, as they were consecutive 'new' b-sides, maybe it was an issue for jukeboxes?

That's possible, I guess. Although I think it would be a bit unlikely to release a jukebox single dedicated solely to B-sides...

I have just had a look in Marshall Jarman's 7" discography book and i've got to say it looks like it is real to me.....I doubt a collector would get away with selling a fake online?

Re: Arnold Corns [re: Sysiyo]

Bearing in mind how big Bowie was then, and how popular jukeboxes were, nothing would surprise me!

... especially as it would raise awareness of the two b-sides while only using up one space in the machine, especially if the landlord already had, say The Jean Genie and Starman in there.

And, of course they are both covers that would make them more palatable on a jukebox rather than, say, self penned obscurities.

Still, a nice item.
