Re: Dance new [re: yirmiahu]

Yeah, but we don't know if the mixes on the bootleg would have been the same as on the official LP. If I'm reading the Illisitrated Discographjy correctly, the mixes for Dance were done by Rusty Gardner and Paul Sabu, which would make them different from the extended dance mixes. For those interested, Blue Jean was mixed by John 'Jellybean' Benitez, Dancing With The Big Boys by Arthur Baker, Loving The Alien, Don't Look Down and Underground by Steve Thompson and Michael Barbiero. Those are the only ones associated with this collection that I know about, and there doesn't seem to be a web source that would tell the makers of different mixes.

Additionally, it's highly unlikely any official release would have included Disconet mixes, as they are unofficial DJ mixes.

In reply to:

Can anyone please explain the significance of the neckties being over the left shoulders please

all I can suggest is that a "tie" is an elevated loin cloth....so, to throw it over one's shoulder is to do away with the loin cloth altogether!

If you go to the illustrated discography site the megamix is in the real audio section.

I can't find the strand where we discussed 8 tracks and the like, but I wanted to mention my SACD of Heathen that has 4 extra tracks at the end of the disc that I will never be able to play especially now as I'm not going to be buying a player for at least the next 20 years.

I've been sorely tempted to buy that in the past and when I found out that a regular DVD player cannot play them I gave the idea up still it is nice to own, as for the future of SACD?

All the tracks are on various cd singles, what you cannot get anywhere else (legally) are the extended tracks which appear on the album (see illustrated discography for full details).
