I understand your point... but my point is not about competing. My point is that a person cannot archieve perfection. Period.

Weather the world of a given time is stationary or moving has little to do with this fact. Hence, even though I appriciate anotherpoet's point, it's flawed from the beginning. Also, I cannot say I'd highly appriciate his poetry (discussions such as this are another thing), hence his claim that he only strives to equal his earlier work, and that all artists do so, is also flawed. From my point of view.
