Sigh... I feel lovesick at the moment...
The fresh autumn rain has come again,
And drenched this grey world in crystal purity.
Let it wash away the cloying dirt,
And cleanse the lonely streets,
Perhaps to bring an echo of spring long lost.
Oh how my empty heart aches for her still,
More bitter sweet than autumns gentle rains,
Fairer to me than all the golden leaves in fallen splendour,
More lovely than the setting rays of sunshine.
As autumn fades to bitter winter,
And cruel and wicked frosts descend,
I long to feel her loving warmth,
For I fear my heart shall freeze.
"Don't see what I do not want to see,
you don't hear what I don't say.
Won't be what I don't want to be,
I continue in my way."
