Yep. Sept. 11th is also the anniversary of the CIA-sponsored coup d'etat in Chile, which started a 17 year dictatorship that resulted in 20,000 dead (that's 10 WTCs).

The only difference between 9/11 and any other terrorist attack of the same scale (including the ones perpetrated by the US itself) is that this one was fully televised. It's not the same watching the towers be hit and collapse than reading about it in the paper.
