The acting wasn't much cop either, script was better, using transcripts of original telephone conversations, not a well made film, I was expecting to feel moved by this, I felt nothing.
Oliver Stones film will be the one to see.
United 93 was a chilling recreation of how it probably happened. The technology was current because, with the exception of the plane, the places and the people in them were real. The flight operators in the movie are playing themselves, for example. The actors in the plane had intimate knowledge of the lives of the people they were playing, and were allowed to improvise with that information in mind.
I guess for some people it's easier to be moved by Nicholas Cage trapped under concrete, yelling "GO! SAVE YOURSELF!" to a tear-eyed fireman who promises he'll "tell his wife" or "never forget".
