I wasn't offended or grossed out by this movie, but was definitely underwhelmed after hearing all the praise heaped on it. I rememeber loving Sarah Silverman and Steven Wright, but what else is new?

I really think it should be against the law to ever kill off Alan Arkin in any movie, as he is the best part about 95% of the movies he's in.

Anyway, I recently joined Netflix (yeah, 2001!), and so have actually seen a few things...

Grizzly Man - Mind-blowing, really. Herzog gives one of the most hilariously blunt voiceover performances in the history of the universe (and beyond!).

The Descent - A massive disappointment. I had heard this billed as the best horror movie of recent memory, but it was more like a cross between Alien: Resurrection and Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. Shoddy characters, silly monsters, one big snoozerama.

The Hudsucker Proxy - I will never in a zillion years understand how you can't love this movie. Newman! Leigh! Robbins! Lounge-singer Peter Gallagher!!
