Enjoy the silence: Lou Reed readies Music For Dogs
Lou Reed, fresh from remastering his noise opus Metal Machine Music, has announced an even less accessible project: Music For Dogs, a 20-minute, high-frequency concert he'll be staging June 5 as part of Sydney's Vivid LIVE Festival. According to NME, Reed will perform the piece with his wife Laurie Anderson on a boardwalk—and, as the title promises, the music will be audible only to the canine segment of Reed's fanbase that may be in attendance. This reminds me of the scene in Teen Wolf in which Michael J. Fox is tormented by the dog whistle in the hardware store.
Teen Wolf doesn't get talked about enough around here. Although I'm happy for us all to pretend that Teen Wolf Too never happened.
