This in effect favors "My favorite color is blue" posts over more lengthy and thoughtful analysis and commentary. I also fear that the forum that would take the biggest hit with this change is Interpretation, which I believe often has the most valuable and interesting discussion.

I agree that it's a good idea to delete the crap threads and disallow people to store their personal icon on TW's database.

Edit: Another suggestion: How about deleting users that have been inactive for six months or a year or so?
