Football is "just a damn game", and Twin Peaks "just a damn TV show". Yet I don't criticise those that make a "big deal" out of either, by devoting a paragraph or two to them now and again. Nor would I begrudge those actively involved from doing what they could to better their respective mediums.

No-one is striving to make TW a place where everything is "deep and intellectual all the time".
