I'd kind of like to know why myself. On other message boards that I have been to, threads were only locked when they turned nasty and involved two people reducing themselves to very personal and foul mouthed attacks on each other -- something that happens here all the time without anyone doing anything. Yet your thread got locked for no apparent reason what-so-ever. I would say that perhaps such threads always wind up too "blue" in the end, and that this is why the mods simply jumped the gun and cut it short -- but as I mentioned earlier, I find it hard to believe that this would make any difference to them considering the over-abundance of vile language used here already. So what's the deal? I think a proper explanation is in order.
