Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, that is true if you follow through with this very logical line of reasoning. You don't have to convince me of what is the most rational thing to do. I was merely stating what I believe to be the reason why some people hide their profiles: some feeling of privacy, not entirely rational and logical. Perhaps you come here, register and feel compelled to (because you are stupid or misinformed or whatever) provide correct and full info in your fan registry. And then you want some privacy so you choose to hide your profile. That's not so far-fetched, is it? I believe that I did more or less that.
