Then the Coffee Shop will be nothing more than pure, idiotic shit. Period.

This whole thing is stupid with a capital Stu. Honestly, the more you slice and dice this forum to reveal (hello!) the APFLAN board, the more you will further the percieved problem of a few "wild and out there" posters who for one reason or another you (again, the mysterious "you") simply don't "get" or think might have a couple stains on their Glass Spider Tour t-shirt. If you remove the good stuff from the shit, take a wild fucking guess what you have left!

Seriously, and I hate to direct this at people who I otherwise adore: GROW THE FUCK UP!

We all contribute something here, even Ddgz. Even the most insane Anon adds a little something to your day and your failure to see that upsets me. I'd like to think that people who embrace a musician who has made a career out of pushing the boundaries, asking the uncomfortable questions, and reinventing himself when totally uncalled for would see that maybe the Internet doesn't need to be the clean and sterile environment that MSN and, let's face it, BowieNet would like to encourage. But no, we're all too busy thinking that we are above it because we listen to the other side of Low and give ourselves a big fucking blowjob for being so goddamned intellectual.

When people complain about TW being better oh so long ago, I can only think of what "oh so long ago" looked like: one forum for everything, the nuts rubbing elbows with the scholars, and minimal moderating. I'm not one of these people to dwell on nostalgia, but they have a point, goddamnit! I do like all the bells and whistles, but in the end this is just a fucking message board where we are all here to unite under a common interest, let the pieces fall where they will.

Something tells me that if this new forum is created it will be the death of TW as (at least) I know it. Nothing specific, just a sort of signal that those of us who spend the majority of our time in the Coffee Shop are seen as little more than Anons whose contributions are really unwanted.

I don't know, maybe it's the fact that my personal life has gone to shit in the last week, but I can't help but take this proposition personally, and I think that everyone else who is too much of an uppity online nigger should probably get the same message from this: you are not appreciated or wanted here. Go away, you are making too much noise.

And I know that I have a tendency to take things a bit too far (let's face it, that's part of my charm), but I can't really tell you how insulted I am by this. I think that if this goes through I will leave. I'm not sure yet, but that is my initial reaction. Call it a juvenile threat if you want, I just don't know that I want to go from feeling like the "family's" drunken, kooky uncle to the bad house guest who doesn't flush and scares the kids.
