At first, I was mostly for this idea and for two reasons. One is that I love music discussion and two is that I tend to have a self-loathing for my own contributions to Coffee Shop. I tend to read the entire forum and find Coffee Shop the most entertaining despite sadly lacking the wit and talent to be a substantial contributor (I make an exception for a good thread last year called 'Choose Your Favourite War' but I think that was a fluke). Coffee Shop has the regular interjection of posters and personalities far superior to my own (in my own opinion and popular opinion) and if those posters were to leave on the account of my actions or ramblings, then I think it is well and truely time for me to go (although I am worried ddgz will get to them first). But now with all things considered and the issues raised, I am against the idea of splitting the forum further. And by the looks of the poll results, it's way too close to call it a means for further splitting. So I think it might be onwards with the Billy Corgan: The Future Embrace thread in Coffee Shop - if you can bear it.
