And in any case, changes made to the message board (even if they were possible) will be of little to no help unless the main site is brought up to date again. Few people will feel inclined to visit the message board of a website that's last been updated in 2003 and as such even if registration was fixes we'd likely be stuck with the same old users (plus maybe a bunch of new Dogz alters).
I'm not sure whether BWW has been updated lately, or what kind of updates are even possible with such a dearth of Bowie news, but the message boards at BWW remain active. I'm no talent spotter or nuthin', but I imagine there are some interesting posters there that might like a Dogz-free board.
The one part of TW's main page that is updated is the list of hot topics. It's not as though Bowie is an obscure artist; I'm sure new people click on TW every day, not knowing that the 'news' aspects of TW are defunct, yet who wish to talk about Bowie.
Or not. It may be that MB users gravitate towards 'live' artists. I know of a couple of music boards by 'live' musicians that are quite popular, though I'm not sure what the long-term prospects are for the MB style of communication per se.
