Has anyone noticed the similarity between the "Space Oddity" riff (heard at 4:07) and the riff at the end of "Buddha of Suburbia" (at 3:23) ?

One is C-F-G-A, the other E-G-A-B (same chords a tone higher, except for the first chord) and the rhythm is the same.

Just after this riff, db starts singing "Ouvre le chien" (open the dog), as in "All the madmen". That's two early songs quoted in just a few seconds.

Has anyone else noticed that ? Would you agree with my interpretation ?
