eno's ambient is what makes always... so unique. when bowie strips it to acoustic version it's just a skeleton of a long-dead corpse.
Hearing a recording of "Heroes" at Roseland, I was shocked at how crap it sounded. Then I went back to the original and realised that I really only like the Eno input anyway - the swirls and so forth. Why I had to go back, I don't know...
