Bowie wasn't the one that trumpeted it, it was Blammo. Yeah, it's Bowie's site, but he's not the one putting up the news. Besides, it was exciting, given that the last one was in July of '03, I think. Bowie was just posting about what they were currently doing, and "The Supermen" was what they were currently working on and something he was excited about at the time. Hence, he mentioned it.
