Definately, it was of a moment, whereas the likes of Ziggy/Hunky dory seem to trancend fashions. I think if there had been a big 20th anniversary edition, maybe with the Concert as a dvd it would have been huge though. All those 20-30 year olds who had bought it and gone to the concerts would have flocked to but it to regain their youth. The reissues have so far, been 'vanilla' issues apart from the Virgin one, and that only added Under pressure. Not sure (apart from the original Cat people) what could be added as a second cd, unless earlier versions of the songs were released, or maybe the proposed live album.
I feel it is unfair to dismiss Let's dance though as without it, the history would have been totally different.
Sysiyo, a very valid point too, to the casual buyer , I think they would have been put off by the rest of the album.
I woud say that in Crimial world, Richochet and Cat people we are getting a more traditional Bowie. Shake it and Without you are totally disposable in my view, although the remix of Shake it wasn't bad. That could've been another bonus track.
